Kentucky Derby Gate Location and Entry Process
Going to the 2025 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs? Knowing the gate locations and entry rules will make your visit easier. There are three main gates. The Paddock Gate is in the middle of the track and leads to the paddock area. The Clubhouse Gate is on the east side for Clubhouse and premium ticket holders. If you have a general admission infield ticket, use the Infield Gate on the south side.
Arrive early since everyone must go through security. You’ll walk through metal detectors, and security will check any bags. Each person can bring only one bag, no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Diaper bags are allowed if you have a child. Some items are banned, including backpacks, coolers, umbrellas, and weapons. Check the official rules before you go.
All tickets are digital, so have yours ready on your phone. Parking is limited, so pre-purchase a parking pass if needed. A shuttle from the Kentucky Exposition Center is a good alternative.
